"The memory we will save about that war..."
In the framework of ongoing all-Ukrainian campaign "Save memory!", the searchers of Platzdarm Association of Researchers For Military-Historical Heritage (Union People's Memory NGO) devoted the last weekend to cleaning war memorials and monuments of Prishib village of Slovyansk district of Donetsk Region.
Here, in 2014, there took place the reburial of the remains of 228 Soviet soldiers, of whom the names of 12 were managed to identify (to establish identity).
Since then searchers have regularly engaged in the site improvement of mass graves in the territory of the village. From year to year, on the eve of Victory Day, they, along with their students of Boets Fight Club and growing generation of searchers, put in order final abodes of the fallen heroes.
"Save memory!" all-Ukrainian campaign on restoration and care of war memorials and monuments began as far back as in 2013 and is held from 20s April till 8th May. The campaign was initiated by Union People's Memory All-Ukrainian Public Organization. It was participated in by more than 1.5 thousand volunteers and searchers, as well as young people who are not indifferent to the history of their country.
