"From hands to hands" - the findings of the searchers of NGO "Union "People's Memory" were handed over to the funds of the museum of Dmitrovka village
Recently, to the office of NGO "Union "People's Memory" arrived a letter from the representatives of Dmitrovka village Council of Chernigov region. Nikolay Yevtushenko, the local lore specialist, Head of NGO "Rodnoye selo Dmitrovka", addressed our organization for help. Being a teacher by education, he has been engaged in social activity for many years, he does his best for acquainting with culture the lives of his villagers. Nikolay Ivanovich decided to address NGO "Union "People's Memory" in order to enrich the exposition of the local museum "Great Patriotic War" with findings from the battlefields.
Union has always had enough interesting and sometimes even unique findings. Many artifacts, found by the searchers during the expeditions, take a worthy place in a number of museums of Ukraine. So, this time when Nikolay addressed with a request to hand over for the museum a part of the findings, the representatives of "People's Memory" could not refuse. For a good cause, like they say, nothing can be regretted.
The meeting with searchers and the handover of the exhibits took place on the 4th of November.
The Soviet and German helmets, gas mask, sapper shovels, fragments of ammunition, all this has been handed over to the museum Dmitrovka village. It should be noted that the abovementioned findings were discovered during the expedition in "Baryshevka boiler house" on the territory of which in 1941there were fierce battles.
The objects waited in the wings in the funds of the organization, now they will be "showing off" at the Museum "Great Patriotic War".
We believe that the attendance of the Museum of Dmitrovka will significantly increase. "It is important that young people go!", says with conviction Nikolay.
